A Coastal Classic: Recapping the AVP Manhattan Beach Open

Over the weekend, HAMMITT headed to the AVP Manhattan Beach Open for some fun in the sun and, of course, beach volleyball. The weekend-long tournament drew thousands of spectators to the sand for the most famed event of the 2025 AVP Beach Volleyball Season. This annual tournament is the beach volleyball event of the summer, closely followed by the 6-man tournament that takes place annually just a few weeks prior.

On early Saturday morning, our incredible team of ambassadors, Katelyn and Maya, took to the sand for day two of the tournament with a plethora of HAMMITT freebies, including trucker hats, water bottles, wallets, and more. Locals and tournament goers could not get enough of our Black and Navy Blue trucker hats - everyone in town was repping the brand! Throughout the stadium crowd and on the Downtown Manhattan Beach streets, the sea of HAMMITT hats could not be missed.

Our two volleyball-playing twin flames, Veronica and Victoria Corcoran, were spotted on the sand in their matching Hammitt trucker hats and Charles Med crossbody bags.

Other familiar faces at the tournament included Kennedy Bryan, a retired professional volleyball player, and Brooke Nuneviller, a professional volleyball player - two longtime fans of HAMMITT.

Meanwhile, at our Manhattan Beach flagship store, the excitement and celebrations continued with a complimentary wine tasting from Avaline wines. Our guests sipped on two organic wines - a Sauvignon Blanc and a Rosé with no added sugar or unnecessary additives - while they shopped. There’s no better way to spend your Saturday than to be shopping with a side of complimentary wine and beach volleyball!

Throughout the weekend, the energy of HAMMITT was infectious, drawing in curious new customers and some familiar faces, too. Cherrywood Pebble, our newest Fall drop, was a fan-favorite. Brooke Nuneviller sat courtside with her newest obsession, the Charles Med in Cherrywood Pebble. Other fan-favorites included the Becker Sml in Ribbon Weave, worn by Victoria Corcoran, that she paired with her matching Montana Pocket in Ribbon Weave, and a glass of Rosé from Avaline. Who doesn’t love a good monochrome outfit with accessories that match?!

Day three, aka Championship Sunday, was another great day of fun, both on the court and off it. Down on the court in the early afternoon, Kristen Nuss and Taryn Brasher, defending AVP Manhattan Beach Open titlists, took the coveted championship trophy for a second time. And on the men’s side, two California natives, Chase Budinger and Miles Evans, brought home their first AVP Manhattan Beach Open title. Off the court, our amazing ambassadors, Katelyn and Maya, were back again spreading the HAMMITT love. It was great to see all of the excitement and love for HAMMITT around our hometown, and to connect with so many new faces throughout the weekend who love our brand just as much as we do!

We can’t wait to see everyone back again in Manhattan Beach in just a few weeks as we close out the summer on Saturday, August 30. The day will begin with a HAMMITT Hot Girl Walk starting at 10:30 AM, followed by Creamy Boys Ice Cream at our Manhattan Beach flagship store from 12-4 PM. Follow us on Instagram, @hammittla, for more details as we get closer to Labor Day Weekend and send off summer in true HAMMITT style!
