Celebrations were in order this past weekend for our Manhattan Beach store’s 4th birthday! It was a grand celebration that brought numerous members of our wonderful Hammitt community together under one roof. Tony Drockton, our founder, kicked off the celebration in true Hammitt style, welcoming the never-ending line of excited guests that wrapped around the corner of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
Over 70 guests attended our 4th birthday celebration where they enjoyed custom airbrushed hats, bag tattooing, and aura readings - all while sipping on fun drinks and enjoying light bites.
We had to celebrate our store turning four in style by bringing back the 80s and 90s era of airbrushed hats, which were a huge hit. Each guest got their name airbrushed in neon paint on a classic trucker hat and every single one turned out incredible!
Our most innovative activation of the night was our bag tattooing station that has been our newest obsession. Each guest received our popular PCH cardholder and got to choose a tattoo design of their choice to complete it. Because our handbags are made of genuine leather, it acts as a second skin that maintains the inked tattoo design perfectly, as if it were on human skin. No other brand has done something like this before. We first debuted our bag tattooing station at our events in Los Angeles and New York City with Sunglass Hut, and can’t wait to bring it with us to our upcoming Hampton Volley event!
At our aura reading station, each of our guests received a commemorative photo that pictured them surrounded by a colorful aura, based on their unique electromagnetic field. They were also given a personalized reading to explain the elements of their aura, along with the photo. We loved seeing the excitement on all of their faces and everyone’s unique aura photo!

The highlight of the night was when our attendees sang “Happy Birthday, Hammitt”. About halfway through the song, the beautiful birthday cake that was hoisted high in the air for all to see slipped off its platter. While no one will remember what the cake tasted like, they will definitely remember it falling! The crowd had a unanimous reaction of gasps and “oohs” as it happened, but don’t worry, we had plenty of cake pops and bite-sized cupcakes to go around!
Everywhere you looked, our guests were dressed to the nines, complete with their favorite Hammitt bags, and many of them left with new pieces to add to their collections! Here are some of our favorite looks of the night.

All night long, the vibes were high and the champagne was flowing. Countless new friendships and unforgettable memories were made. And of course, new Hammitt bags were purchased! We had the best time celebrating with our community last weekend and we can’t wait for our next celebration! Cheers and Happy 4th Birthday to our Manhattan Beach store!
